Championing Health and Wellness: Longlands Primary School’s Gold Rating
We are pleased to share that Longlands Primary School has been awarded the GOLD Healthy Schools Rating by the Department for Education. This great achievement is a testament to our unwavering dedication to enhancing the health and wellbeing of our pupils.
This accolade has been made possible through our collaboration with the Active Lives Survey team. We’ve strived to create an environment where our pupils can thrive physically, mentally and emotionally.
The Healthy Schools Rating Scheme is a voluntary initiative that acknowledges and celebrates schools against the following assessment criteria:
- Food education, including in the curriculum and teacher training;
- Compliance with the school food standards;
- The amount of time children spend on PE each week;
- Participation in active travel schemes.
